About the Role

As a Data Scientist specializing in AI & ML, you will be the engine behind the predictive intelligence that powers our instant-delivery ecosystem. You will move beyond basic analytics to architect and deploy sophisticated machine learning models that solve high-stakes challenges, from hyper-accurate demand forecasting to real-time dynamic pricing. Your work will directly optimize the intersection of consumer behavior and logistical efficiency, ensuring our platform anticipates user needs before they arise. This is a role for a technical visionary who thrives on high-velocity data and seeks to implement production-grade AI solutions that define the future of Quick Commerce in the GCC.

Responsibilities

  • Predictive Model Engineering: Design, develop, and deploy advanced ML models for demand sensing, inventory optimization, and churn prediction within a high-throughput environment.
  • Algorithmic Innovation: Architect and refine real-time recommendation engines and personalized ranking systems to enhance user discovery and conversion rates.
  • Optimization Frameworks: Develop sophisticated algorithms for last-mile route optimization and automated dispatching to reduce delivery latency and operational overhead.
  • A/B Testing & Causal Inference: Lead the design and execution of rigorous experimental frameworks to validate the impact of algorithmic changes on core business KPIs.
  • Scalable AI Deployment: Collaborate with MLOps and Data Engineering teams to build robust pipelines for model training, monitoring, and seamless production deployment.

Qualifications

  • Proven Track Record: Minimum 3+ years of professional experience as a Data Scientist or ML Engineer, with a verifiable portfolio of deploying production-grade models in a SaaS, Fintech, or E-commerce setting.
  • Advanced Quantitative Foundation: Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field, demonstrating a deep theoretical and practical understanding of AI.
  • Language Proficiency:
    • English: Professional fluency is mandatory.
    • Arabic: Proficiency is a significant advantage.
    • Additional Languages: Proficiency in Hindi, Filipino, or Bangla is highly regarded for regional data contextualization.
  • Role-Specific Skillset:
    • Mastery of Python/R and ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or XGBoost.
    • Expertise in SQL and big data technologies (e.g., Spark, BigQuery, or Snowflake).
    • Advanced knowledge of Deep Learning, NLP, and Reinforcement Learning.
    • Proficiency in Cloud AI Infrastructure (AWS SageMaker, GCP AI Platform, or Azure ML).
    • Strategic Statistical Modeling & Hypothesis Testing.
